Data Residency refers to the geographic location where your data is stored. In the context of Jira, it ensures that your data resides in specific regions to comply with regulatory, security, or organizational requirements.
Data Residency in Flower
Flower is a Jira app and stores all data within Jira. This means that Flower automatically follows the same data residency as the underlying Jira instance. If you change the data residency for Jira, Flower will be migrated automatically along with your Jira data.

Changing Data Residency in Jira
To change the data residency for your Jira instance:
- Go to Atlassian Administration (
admin.atlassian.com
). - Select your Jira Cloud product.
- Navigate to Security > Data Residency.
- Click Move Data and select the desired region.
- Confirm the migration process.
Once the migration is complete, Flower will automatically move to the selected region without any manual action required.
